Ambitious executive Diana Christensen (Faye Dunaway) hits gold when disgruntled newscaster Howard Beale (Peter Finch) goes off script, becoming a fervent critic of society's ills. The challenge is whether she can control the populist revolution they've sparked on the airwaves.
